Our client, a well-established construction contractor, is looking to appoint a Buyer to join their commercial team in the West Midlands. This is a key role supporting procurement across a portfolio of construction projects.
The Role The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing materials and services, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective procurement in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities - Source and procure materials and subcontract services
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and supplier agreements
- Place and manage purchase orders
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships
- Work closely with site and commercial teams to support project delivery
Candidate Requirements - Proven experience in a Buyer or procurement role within construction
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of construction materials and supply chains
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
