Project Coordinator - Construction

About the Company
Our client is a growing General Contractor based in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge area, specializing in ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) and multi-family residential construction. Their team is focused on delivering high-quality projects while building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners.
Position Overview
They are looking for a Project Coordinator with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience to support our project management team. This role plays a key part in coordinating documentation, tracking project progress, and supporting projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in coordinating ICI and multi-family residential projects from start to finish
• Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and site instructions
• Maintain project logs, meeting minutes, and formal correspondence
• Assist with cost tracking, budget updates, and change management
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely project execution
• Support procurement processes including issuing scopes and tracking quotes
• Assist with project scheduling updates and progress tracking
• Coordinate closeout documentation including as-builts, warranties, and O&M manuals

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a Project Coordinator or similar role in construction
• Experience working on ICI and/or multi-family residential projects
• Strong understanding of construction processes and documentation workflows
• Familiarity with CCDC contracts and Ontario construction practices
• Proficiency with tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and MS Office
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Experience working with local trades and consultants in the KWC/GTA market
• Exposure to scheduling and cost control processes
