Established boutique Developer and Investment company based in Downtown Vancouver are looking for an experienced Development Manager to join their team. Flexible title and salary dependent on each applicants experience.

We are looking for candidates who have full-cycle development experience but also enjoy exposure to working with construction teams (CM Firm) and appreciate the land acquisition and design process.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Lead full-cycle Development process from acquisition through design, permitting, construction and closeout including handover.
  • Working with the VP Of Development identify constructability and design issues rectifying in the early phases reducing delay and cost risks for each project.
  • Negotiation of contracts with external consultants.
  • Build relationship with Construction Management firm and partaking in construction process including site visits from time to time and updating owners. 
  • Identify areas of interest for potential investment and future company development including land purchase agreements/acquisitions. 
  • Review project budgets and schedule with meticulous attention to detail and updating regularly throughout all phases of each assigned project.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
  • Degree in Construction Management, Architecture or similar related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Development with exposure to all aspects of the full development process.
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings and construction process. 
  • Preferable experience with high-rise or mixed-use developments (company focus across but not limited to office & residential towers throughout Metro Vancouver).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to show initiative and take on added responsibilities which will be rewarded. 
  • Strong understanding of municipal and local planning laws, building codes and permitting process.
