Job Title: ICI Construction Estimator (Healthcare Projects)

Location: Simcoe Area

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year

As they continue to expand, they are looking for a skilled ICI Construction Estimator to join their growing team.
 
Role Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented ICI Construction Estimator to lead the estimating efforts on a range of exciting and complex healthcare projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 5 years of local ICI construction experience, including specific experience in healthcare projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing bids, and working closely with our project management and design teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for healthcare-related ICI projects from initial design to final completion.
• Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bids.
• Conduct site visits to assess site conditions, evaluate potential risks, and gather project-specific data.
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier bids, negotiate prices, and establish timelines.
• Work with senior management to review bid documents and proposals before submission.
• Monitor market trends and pricing for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and project estimates to clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, project changes, and cost projections.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an ICI Estimator, preferably with a focus on healthcare construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and industry standards.
• Proficiency with construction estimating software and tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
• In-depth understanding of healthcare construction standards and requirements is an asset.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
