Finishing Site Superintendent

Finishing Site Superintendent to oversee the final stages of construction and ensure projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing finishing trades, coordinating deficiencies, overseeing occupancy and turnover activities, and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule.
Key Responsibilities - Oversee all finishing and closeout activities on active construction projects.
- Coordinate and supervise finishing trades, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Manage project deficiencies and ensure timely completion of corrective work.
- Conduct quality control inspections and maintain high workmanship standards.
- Coordinate occupancy, turnover, and client handover processes.
- Review drawings, specifications, and finishing schedules.
- Track project progress and ensure milestone completion dates are achieved.
- Work closely with Project Managers, consultants, inspectors, and clients.
- Maintain site safety and ensure compliance with all company policies and Ontario regulations.
- Prepare daily reports, deficiency logs, and project documentation.
- Participate in site meetings and coordinate finishing schedules with stakeholders.
Qualifications - 5+ years of experience as a Finishing Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or related site leadership role.
- Strong understanding of interior finishes, occupancy requirements, and deficiency management.
- Experience coordinating multiple finishing trades simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough knowledge of Ontario construction practices and safety regulations.
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Experience - ICI Construction projects.
- Condominium occupancy and turnover programs.
- Commercial and institutional interior fit-outs.
- Tarion and post-construction deficiency management.
- Fast-paced multi-phase construction projects.
