Business Development Manager to help drive new opportunities and position the company as a leader in the ICI construction market.
Position Summary: The
Business Development Manager will play a critical role in generating new business and building strategic relationships with clients, consultants, and industry partners. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this individual will focus on identifying new project leads, developing strategic partnerships, and nurturing long-term relationships to support the company’s growth objectives in the ICI sector.
Key Responsibilities: - Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the industrial, commercial, and institutional construction sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including developers, architects, engineers, consultants, and real estate professionals.
- Attend industry events, networking functions, and trade shows to promote the company and build brand visibility.
- Respond to RFPs and RFQs in collaboration with the estimating and pre-construction teams.
- Work closely with the executive and project teams to align business development strategies with operational capabilities.
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM system with prospect and client information, activity tracking, and pipeline status.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify emerging opportunities.
- Assist in developing marketing materials, capability statements, and proposals.
- Provide regular reporting on business development activities and results.
Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in business development or client relations within the ICI construction sector.
- Strong understanding of the construction lifecycle and project delivery methods.
- Established network of contacts in the GTA construction industry is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of identifying, securing, and growing profitable business opportunities.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Ontario building regulations and market landscape is an asset.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, and construction management software is an advantage.
