Intermediate / Senior Geotechnical Engineer Location: Edmonton, AB
Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000 + benefits
Our client, a growing geotechnical engineering and materials testing consultancy based in Edmonton, is currently seeking an Intermediate or Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced geotechnical professional who enjoys a mix of technical analysis, project involvement, and client-facing work across a variety of development and infrastructure projects throughout Western Canada.
The organization has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, cost-effective geotechnical solutions across residential, commercial, industrial, transportation, and land development sectors.
Responsibilities - Prepare and review geotechnical investigation reports and technical recommendations
- Conduct geotechnical analysis related to foundations, site investigations, earthworks, and soil conditions
- Participate in field investigations and site inspections as required
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal project teams
- Support projects involving:
- Industrial developments
- Multifamily projects
- Residential subdivisions
- Infrastructure and land development projects
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical growth within the team
- Utilize GeoStudio and related geotechnical software tools
Qualifications - Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- P.Eng. designation or eligibility preferred
- 7-10+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience preferred
- Strong technical writing and report preparation skills
- Experience with geotechnical analysis and interpretation
- Proficiency with GeoStudio
- Background in materials testing or construction field services considered an asset
- Experience working on projects within Western Canada is highly desirable
