We’re looking for a
Junior to Intermediate Environmental / Water Resources Engineer to join a surface water team focused on mine water management.
This is a hands-on technical role where you’ll be working across the full mining lifecycle, supporting projects from early planning through to closure, helping clients manage water responsibly across a range of mining environments in Canada and internationally.
You’ll also be part of a broader geo-environmental group, working closely with specialists in various disciplines of engineering. It’s certainly a collaborative setup, with strong cross-discipline exposure and plenty of opportunity to broaden your technical experience.
What you’ll be doing: - Developing water and load balance models to support mine water management decisions
- Carrying out hydraulic analysis and design for pipelines and conveyance systems
- Completing hydrological assessments across different climatic regions
- Supporting water quality and treatment process evaluations
- Contributing to technical reports and project documentation
- Participating in site visits and field work across Ontario, Québec, and wider Eastern Canada (with occasional international opportunities)
The role is hybrid, with a mix of office and remote work, and flexibility built in to support work-life balance.
What we’re looking for: - Degree in environmental, civil, mining, water resources, or chemical engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Around 2–5 years of consulting experience, ideally within mining or heavy industry
- Strong analytical skills and confidence using MS Office
- Exposure to tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PCSWMM, GoldSim, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Civil 3D, Python, R, or similar is an asset
- Eligible for (or already holding) professional registration
- Bilingual English/French is a strong asset
Compensation & Package:
Salary range of
$75,000–$95,000, depending on experience and qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Additional perks include an attractive overall compensation structure and the opportunity to participate in an employee-owned model.
