Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Concrete / Formwork Foreman to join a well-established contractor delivering a strong pipeline of projects across Melbourne’s Inner North Suburbs.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who has come up through the tools and is confident managing crews and driving structural concrete works on-site.

The Role
You will be responsible for supervising formwork carpenters, steel fixers, and concreters while coordinating all structural concrete activities. A key part of the role will be ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site crews (typically 10–30+ workers)
• Oversee structural concrete works, including slabs, columns, cores, and basements
• Read and interpret engineering and shop drawings
• Manage pour planning, sequencing, and daily site operations
• Ensure compliance with WHS, quality, and program requirements
• Liaise with site management and subcontractors to keep works on schedule

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong background in formwork and structural concrete
• Proven experience in a Foreman or Leading Hand role
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Solid understanding of construction programs and sequencing
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
• Trade qualified (Carpentry/Formwork preferred)

Project Scope

• Commercial construction projects
• High-rise residential apartments
• Basements and infrastructure works
• Project values ranging from $5M – $50M+ (Concrete packages $2M – $15M+)

Salary & Benefits

• $110K   $160K+ for top-tier experinced  candidates
• Vehicle and allowances included
