Position: Junior Project Manager/Estimator

Location: Langley

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager/Estimator to join their team in Langley. As a key member of their construction management team, you will be responsible for assisting in project management activities and estimating costs for various projects.
 
Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation under the guidance of senior project managers.
  2. Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  3. Support in the preparation of project estimates, including material take-offs, labor costs, and subcontractor quotes.
  4. Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for accurate project estimations and assist in identifying potential project risks and opportunities.
  5. Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bids, ensuring compliance with client requirements and specifications.
  6. Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve any issues that may arise.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, construction methodologies, and pricing to provide accurate estimates and recommendations.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  2. Prior experience in construction project management or estimating role is desirable.
  3. Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to interpret construction plans and specifications.
  4. Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  6. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  7. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  8. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is an asset.
