Job Description

I am seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer on behalf of a leading M&E Contractor for a major project based in Denmark. The successful candidate will join an experienced project team and take responsibility for the delivery of the mechanical engineering package from start through to completion.
The company have a strong pipeline of work across Europe, making this a permanent, long-term opportunity with excellent career progression.

Our client is a well-known and well-respected M&E contractor in the construction industry. They are working on a variety of projects that are both ongoing and completed across Ireland and Europe.

About the role:

• Salary: €90,000 - €110,000 + Attractive Benefits Package.

• Full-time permanent position.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Leading the mechanical engineering team on site.
• Coordinating mechanical installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Managing technical documentation, RFIs and engineering queries.
• Working closely with the client, design team and subcontractors.
• Monitoring quality standards and ensuring works are delivered safely.
• Assisting with project planning, procurement and programme delivery.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the engineering team.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 7+ years' experience in Mechanical Engineering, with previous experience in a Lead or Senior role.
• Experience delivering large-scale construction or engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and commissioning.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
