About the company:
Our client is a highly established M&E Contractor delivering major mission-critical and data centre projects across Europe. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of large-scale projects, they are seeking an experienced MEP Lead to join their project team in Portugal.

Duties include (but not limited to):
  • Lead and coordinate all MEP activities across design, construction, commissioning, and handover stages.
  • Manage and support MEP engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and specialist contractors.
  • Oversee technical reviews, quality inspections, programme progress, and project reporting.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, design teams, and key project stakeholders.
  • Review MEP design information, technical submittals, method statements, and project documentation.
  • Identify and resolve design, installation, and coordination issues to maintain programme momentum.
  • Ensure MEP works are delivered in line with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Drive commissioning readiness and support the successful testing and handover of MEP systems.
  • Assist with project planning, forecasting, progress tracking, and achievement of key milestones.
Position Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience within large-scale construction, M&E, or mission-critical projects.
  • Strong experience managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary MEP teams.
  • Excellent understanding of MEP systems, design coordination, installation, and commissioning processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex projects within demanding programme environments.
