Municipal Engineer / Project Manager
Location: Vancouver, BC
Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 + comprehensive benefits
Our client, a well-established and respected multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, is seeking a
Municipal Engineer / Project Manager to join their growing Vancouver team. This organization delivers complex infrastructure solutions across Western Canada and is known for its collaborative culture, technical depth, and long-term client partnerships.

The Opportunity Reporting to senior leadership, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of municipal infrastructure projects from initial proposal through detailed design and construction support. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to a high technical standard.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with municipalities, regional districts, Indigenous communities, public agencies, and private sector clients across a broad range of infrastructure initiatives.
Depending on experience and career goals, the role offers flexibility to focus more heavily on technical design or take on expanded project management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and/or support the design of municipal infrastructure projects including:
- Water distribution systems
- Wastewater collection systems
- Stormwater management systems
- Lift stations and force mains
- Storm detention facilities
- Site servicing and grading
- Prepare technical reports, studies, specifications, and contract documents
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies
- Support proposals, Expressions of Interest (EOIs), and technical submissions
- Provide construction administration and site inspection services
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary project teams from concept through completion
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- P.Eng. designation with EGBC (or eligibility for registration)
- 8+ years of municipal and/or water resources engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering civil infrastructure projects in BC
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage projects and work independently
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Assets - Experience with hydraulic modeling software (PCSWMM, InfoWorks, HEC-RAS, WaterCAD, etc.)
- Familiarity with BC municipal standards and regulatory frameworks
- PMP designation
