Our client is seeking a Pre-Construction Engineer to join their team based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading specialist contractor delivering complex demolition, remediation, and enabling works projects. 

The Role

The Pre-Construction Engineer will support the early stages of project delivery, working closely with estimating, commercial, and operational teams to develop technical solutions and ensure successful tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review tender documentation and develop technical proposals
  • Support the estimating team with buildability and methodology input
  • Produce method statements, programmes, and technical submissions
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams during pre-construction
  • Assist with value engineering and cost-effective design solutions
Candidate Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction-related discipline
  • Experience in pre-construction, engineering, or project roles within demolition, enabling works, or civil engineering
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
