About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established, employee-focused consulting engineering firm with a strong reputation for delivering innovative land development and municipal infrastructure solutions across Ontario. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Land Development to join their Ottawa team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys leading multidisciplinary projects, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior staff while contributing to the successful delivery of complex land development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage land development projects from planning and design through to contract administration and project close-out.
  • Define project scope, develop budgets and schedules, and oversee project execution.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while ensuring financial performance, quality standards, and schedule commitments are met.
  • Coordinate with clients, municipalities, stakeholders, and subconsultants throughout project delivery.
  • Prepare and contribute to proposals, project reports, and technical documentation.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering, design, and technical staff.
  • Mentor and support junior team members to encourage professional development.
  • Assist with Civil 3D design and drafting activities as required to meet project deadlines.
  • Support contract administration activities and construction-phase services.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Professional designation such as P.Eng., C.E.T., or C.Tech. in Ontario.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in land development engineering and project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Site Plan and Plan of Subdivision applications
    • Municipal servicing studies and reports
    • Stormwater Management (SWM) and Low Impact Development (LID) design
    • Grading and servicing design
    • Tendering, contract administration, and project close-out processes
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects, including budget management, scheduling, project reporting, and client management.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
