We are seeking a
Structural Draftsperson to join our clients engineering consulting team, supporting large-scale hydro and water resources projects.
About the Role This role focuses on producing 2D drawings and 3D models for structural and architectural systems within
hydroelectric and water infrastructure projects. You will work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams on a range of projects, from rehabilitation of existing facilities to new greenfield developments. This is a strong opportunity to build experience in hydroelectric design, modelling, and BIM delivery within a consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities - Produce 2D drawings and 3D models from sketches, surveys, and design data
- Develop models to required levels of detail using established standards
- Prepare drawings in AutoCAD and Revit to internal/client standards
- Create layouts and bills of materials for large structures and systems
- Support coordination of building systems (mechanical, electrical, piping, HVAC)
- Ensure quality and accuracy of drawings and meet project schedules
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, and other disciplines
- Occasionally support mechanical and electrical drawing/model work
- Assist with as-built data collection and site visits when required
About You - Civil Engineering Technology diploma (or equivalent)
- CET designation (asset)
- Around 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
- Experience in consulting engineering (utility projects an asset)
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with Navisworks and Autodesk tools (asset)
- Comfortable working in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and drafting quality
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to undergo security checks
- Ability to pass AutoCAD/Revit and drafting assessments
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required
Compensation - Salary range: $80,000 – $100,000
