Traveling Site Superintendent - Commercial Renovation Projects

�� Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 (based on experience)
 
We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent with a background in commercial retail construction projects who is open to traveling for project assignments lasting several months at a time.
This role is ideal for a superintendent who thrives in structured, compliance-driven environments and understands the importance of infection control, safety, and working in or around operational healthcare facilities.
What You'll Be Doing

• Lead on-site construction operations for healthcare and institutional projects
• Oversee day-to-day site activities, subcontractor coordination, and site logistics
• Maintain project schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager
• Enforce strict safety protocols and infection control procedures
• Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with healthcare construction standards
• Conduct site meetings and maintain communication with consultants, hospital/facility staff, and project teams
• Monitor quality control to ensure work aligns with drawings and specifications
• Identify and resolve site issues to avoid schedule or cost impacts
• Track site progress, manpower, and milestone completion
• Maintain clean, organized, and controlled work environments

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent
• Commercial retail construction experience (Retail stores in malls, Walmarts, SportChek, etc.)
• Experience working in operational or sensitive environments is an asset
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and site compliance requirements
• Understanding of scheduling and construction sequencing
• Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain high quality standards
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to read drawings and specifications
• Willingness to travel for project durations of several months
