Leading Real Estate Developer in the Metro Vancouver area are currently seeking to hire a Construction Project Coordinator to their growing team. An established firm in the local market who have consistently been growing year over year are looking for PC who will grow into a Project Manager in years to come.
Project focus is mostly across residential developments from townhomes to high-rises throughout Vancouver, Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. Primary goals and responsibilities for this position is to work alongside the Project Manager on the assigned project while assisting other staff members as required throughout all phases of the development/construction process in site preparation as well as construction.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with change orders; obtain quotes form vendors/suppliers, assess costs and impacts to project schedule.
- Assist with project completion close-outs/punch list.
- Maintain and distribute site records; post records to company document management system, and assemble documents to support claims per site superintendent.
- Administer requests for information; liaise with project team, client, and subcontractors, and attend site/project meetings as required.
- Coordinate inspections and acquire permits.
- Coordinate selection and purchase of materials and services for the project including administration of purchase orders; liaise with suppliers.
- Oversee accurate completion of all site paperwork including time sheets, dailies, invoices, and work records for accurate cost coding to applicable contract items.
- Work with all on-site personnel, as required, to identify and resolve issues, ensure quality control, and support the overall project schedule and goals.
- Support and confirm performance of the health & safety and environmental requirements of the work.
- Other duties as required by Project Manager.
Education & Experience:
- 2-3 years of Project Coordinator / Project Administration Experience with a local developer or general contractor.
- Proficient with some construction management, scheduling and estimating software’s – opportunity to develop these skills further.
- Highly organized in terms of documenting reports consistently with high accuracy for use during and after construction to accurately account for spending/costs.
- Good oral and verbal communication skills in dealing with internal and external teams and partners.
- Preference for an undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Engineering or alternative construction related degree but not required.
- Enthusiastic individual who enjoys a team environment which allows all members to flourish in their respective roles.
- Safety orientated
