Nationally renowned Mechanical Contractor with a growing pipeline of challenging projects throughout Metro Vancouver are looking to add a skilled Project Manager to their team. With a strong focus on sustainability and company culture our client is keen to find someone who has completed 1-2 projects minimum as a PM working either for a Mechanical or General Contractor where they have coordinated the entire mechanical scope.

Projects vary from small scale TI to large scale ground up residential and ICI work. Continuously growing and aiming to be one of the leading contractors in Vancouver there are openings for both junior and senior professionals who like to work hard and mentor other team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Estimators and Senior Executives devising Project Schedule for entire scope.
  • Work with General Contractor and other external company trade partners ensuring process and accuracy with plans and specs.
  • Coordinate staff, equipment, subcontractors and required labor ensuring all costs are documented to get accurate budget.
  • Work with on-site Superintendent making sure safety procedures and SOP’s are followed for the course of the project.
  • Complete job walks as required for QA and QC with Superintendent.
  • Assume responsibilities for changes once reported by the site team documenting changes to scope, costs and other miscellaneous items.
  • Work with owners representatives, inspectors, general contractor and other relevant parties throughout all project phases to build relationships and ensure accuracy with mechanical scope of work at hand.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2/3 years experience as a Project Manager, candidates must have full project cycle knowledge running mechanical scopes of work.
  • Great communication skills both verbal and written for reports, emails, admin and project updates to all parties.
  • Highly organized in running busy project sites from a manpower, materials, equipment and other items to ensure team has everything required to be successful. 
  • Skilled with construction software for value engineering, shop drawings, construction management and reports/email.
  • Preferable for local knowledge and Mechanical/Construction Management education but years of experience will be considered.
