As one of Canada’s most esteemed real estate developers, my client has built an outstanding reputation for innovative multi-use neighborhoods, master-planned communities, and condominium residences across the country. They are now looking to hire a Senior Project Manager to support the long-term growth of the company. The Senior Project Manager will report directly to the Vice-President of Construction and will leverage their experience in providing leadership to all assigned projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaboration and coordination with all project stakeholders ensuring delivery on all actions, ensuring milestones are met and overall project schedule achieved.
- Manages and prioritizes the project budget.
- Negotiates, analyzes, and prepares subcontracts, purchase order agreements, and cost control budgets.
- Manage associated project contracts, ensuring all teams are in compliance and agreement with terms.
- Oversee construction teams to monitor project progress and address and resolve project challenges/escalations.
- Manage the project through to successful and timely completion – finishing with lessons learned documentation to be taken to the following project.
- Plan, organize and execute work assigned to the project team.
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of company policy.
- Monitor/control construction activities to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious cost situations and implement corrective measures.
- Plan and coordinate the function of Project Managers and Coordinators with Superintendents (this included coordination with Scheduling, Estimating, Administration, Contracts, Control, and Quality Control).
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in related fields such as Construction Management or Engineering.
- 10 + years of experience working for a General Contractor / Construction Management team.
- Previous experience leading a project from start to finish.
- Must have High Rise Residential experience.
- PMI Project Management Professional considered an asset.
- LEED Accredited Professional considered an asset.
- Relevant professional qualification including RICS / PQS considered an asset.
The salary for the Senior Project Manager will depend on previous experience but will range from $160K-$200K.
