SSA are recruiting a Junior Health & Safety Officer on behalf of a respected Electrical Contractor for a Galway-based position. This is a Nine Month Contract within the Company with an option to work a permanent position within the company after the nine months contract has been completed.

Our client is a reputable Electrical Contractor with a solid reputation in the construction industry. They have a diverse portfolio of ongoing and completed projects across the country, including Design, Installation, Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, and Building Management, and have expanded into sectors such as commercial, retail, hotels, tourism and leisure, and government.
About the role:
- Suitable for graduates or candidates with experience
- €36,000 – €42,000 Salary Expectations for the right candidate
- Become part of an established Safety team
- Based in the west of Galway
- Contract Position for nine months
Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Assist in setting up training sessions, prepare paperwork and file paperwork when complete.
- Work effectively both on-site and office-based
- Assist in giving Tool Box Talks.
- Assist with Health and Safety Inductions.
- Maintenance of safety documentation and paperwork.
- Promote a strong safety culture on site.
To be successful in your application you will possess the following;
- Relevant Qualification – Level 7 or 8 In the Health & Safety Discipline or a NEBOSH
- Strong communication skills
- Full Driving License
- Residing in Connacht
