SSA are recruiting a Junior Health & Safety Officer on behalf of a Tier 1 Main Contractor, to be based in Kilkenny. This is a permanent position.

Our client is a well-known and well-respected contractor in the construction industry. They are working on a variety of projects that are both ongoing and completed.
About the Role:
- Site-based role in Kilkenny.
- €35,000 + Starting salary.
- Work with a reputable Tier 1 Main contractor.
- Working as a member of a Health and Safety Team.
- Joining a CIF Top 20 Company.
- Work with a reputable industry leader who will respect your credentials and invest in your training and development.
Your main duties will include but are not limited to:
- Among your key responsibilities will be assisting in the preparation of training sessions and the on-site preparation of all new employees or contractors.
- Assist in the scheduling of training sessions, the preparation of documents, and the filing of completed papers.
- Help with toolbox talks.
- Documentation and paperwork about safety are kept up to date.
- Encourage a strong safety culture in the workplace.
To be successful you will need the following:
- Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or NEBOSH Diploma.
- Strong communication skills.
- at least 6 months of experience in a Health & Safety Role.
- a Trades background is a major advantage.
