Our client is a well-established civil contractor delivering excavation, underground utilities, and road construction projects across the Lower Mainland. They're looking for a strong Working Foreman who can lead from the front — someone equally at home in the trench and running a crew.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT
A reputable and growing civil construction contractor with a strong pipeline of municipal and infrastructure projects across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Known for a tight-knit, high-performing field culture and competitive compensation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead a crew of 4–10 labourers, operators, and trades on civil construction sites
  • Read and interpret civil drawings, grade sheets, and project specifications
  • Coordinate daily work plans with the Project Manager and Superintendent
  • Enforce and model safe work practices in accordance with WorkSafeBC regulations
  • Monitor production and ensure work is completed on schedule and to specification
  • Communicate with municipal inspectors, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Complete daily site reports, pre-task plans, and timesheets
  • Hands-on involvement in excavation, utilities installation, and road construction as required
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 5+ years of experience in civil construction — excavation, underground utilities, or road construction
  • Proven experience leading crews in a foreman or lead hand capacity
  • Ability to read civil drawings and work to grade
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence (Class 3 or 1 an asset)
  • Tickets: OFA Level 1, Fall Protection, Confined Space, WHMIS (current)
  • NCSO or Traffic Control Supervisor designation is a strong asset
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven site environment
WHAT'S ON OFFER
  • Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience
  • Steady, year-round work with a strong project backlog
  • Supportive leadership and a team-first culture
  • Opportunities to grow into a Superintendent role
