Job Title: Health and Safety Manager
Location: Vancouver, BC

• Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000, based on experience.
• Concrete/Construction company

Our client who has been involved in the cast-in-place concrete construction business since 2003 are seeking a H&S Manager in Vancouver.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Health and Safety (H&S) operations at three sites.
• Act as a working manager, ensuring hands-on involvement in H&S processes.
• Supervise and lead a team of 4 reports
• Conduct regular site visits to all locations, providing oversight and addressing safety concerns.
• Manage WorkSafe BC compliance, staying current with legislation and implementing necessary changes.
• Handle client relations with General Contractors (GC) and developers, fostering positive working relationships.
• Address and manage issues related to workplace injuries, implementing preventative measures.
• Provide guidance on H&S protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Monitor and float between sites to proactively identify and address potential hazards.
• Utilize experience in managing GCs as a valuable asset for effective coordination.

Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of WorkSafe BC legislation and H&S best practices.
• Experience within the Concrete industry is an advantage
• Proven experience managing General Contractors is a strong asset.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Previous experience managing workplace injuries and implementing preventative measures.
• Excellent understanding of client relations within the construction industry.
• Comfortable with a hands-on, working manager role.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
