Health & Safety Coordinator

About the Opportunity
A well-established civil contractor delivering infrastructure, utilities, excavation, and site servicing projects across the Lower Mainland is seeking a proactive and driven Health & Safety Coordinator. Key Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and continuously improve the company's Health & Safety Program
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and ongoing worker training
• Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and COR requirements
• Support incident investigations and prepare detailed reports with corrective action plans
• Maintain safety documentation, statistics, and compliance records
• Work closely with site supervisors and project managers to promote a strong safety culture
• Assist with return-to-work programs and claims management

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a Health & Safety role within civil construction or infrastructure
• Strong working knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations
• Experience supporting or maintaining COR certification
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence field teams
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
