A growing engineering consultancy is looking for a Municipal Engineer to join their design team. This role offers the chance to plan, design, and oversee municipal infrastructure projects while collaborating closely with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams. It’s ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys hands-on project delivery and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities - Plan, design, and oversee municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, and bike trails
- Prepare reports, contract specifications, tender documents, and approvals
- Review and issue shop drawings
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate project teams
- Liaise with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, and construction supervision staff
- Support business development through proposal preparation
- Assist with Municipal Class Environmental Assessments for water, wastewater, and road projects
Qualifications - P.Eng. licensed in Ontario with 7+ years of municipal design experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Word, Excel, and MS Project
- Experience in planning, preliminary and detailed design, and construction administration
- Skilled in cost estimating, specification writing, and approvals from authorities and agencies
- Strong organization, communication, and project management skills
- Independent, motivated team player with the ability to manage multiple projects
