An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established, family-owned construction business that is continuing to grow its presence across Queensland.

With a head office based in the Illawarra region of NSW, the business has built an excellent reputation nationally, particularly within the veterinary fit-out sector where they are considered a go-to contractor. Building on this success, they are now securing an increasing number of new-build childcare centres, medical fit-outs and other commercial projects valued up to $10M.

The Brisbane office is currently based in North of Brisbanes CBD and, due to continued growth, they are looking to expand the local team with an experienced Project Manager.

The Role: Working from the Brisbane office, you will be responsible for managing a range of projects across Queensland, with the majority of current work located throughout Brisbane and some projects extending to the Gold Coast and other regional areas.

There will be some travel involved, although the role will be predominantly Brisbane-based.

The ideal candidate will come from a strong site-based construction background and have progressed into Project Management, with a good understanding of cost control, programme management and the commercial aspects of delivering projects.

You will be involved in managing projects from commencement through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

About You: The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the Australian construction industry
• A strong site-based construction background
• Experience delivering fit-outs and/or small commercial new-build projects
• Ground civil experience would be highly regarded
• Experience with projects up to $10M
• Strong understanding of project cost control and financial management
• Strong programme, subcontractor and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
• Relevant Australian construction experience

Experience across veterinary, medical or childcare projects would be beneficial but is not essential.
