Job Description

My Client is a leading Main Contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a major construction project in Belgium.

The successful Project Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, coordination and delivery of projects from initiation through to handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

The Project Manager will act as the central point of contact for clients, subcontractors, consultants and internal project teams, managing progress, risk and communication to ensure successful project outcomes.

Your main duties will include:

• Managing the delivery of construction projects from commencement through to completion.
• Developing and maintaining project programmes, identifying critical paths and managing project milestones.
• Monitoring budgets, costs and commercial performance.
• Coordinating subcontractors, labour, procurement and materials.
• Leading site teams and ensuring effective project delivery.
• Managing project risks, issues and implementing mitigation measures.
• Preparing progress reports, meeting documentation and project handover information.
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety requirements and promoting a strong safety culture.
• Liaising with clients, consultants and stakeholders to resolve technical and commercial matters.
• Monitoring quality standards and ensuring defects are managed effectively.
• Supporting commercial activities including variations and contract administration.
• Mentoring junior team members and supporting professional development.

What you will need:

• Proven experience delivering construction projects with a Main Contractor, developer or consultancy.
• Demonstrable experience managing programmes, budgets and site teams.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing variations and contract processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience using Microsoft Office packages and project management software.
• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in construction management, civil engineering or related discipline.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel to site.
