An established and growing engineering consultancy is looking to add a Senior Bridge Design Engineer to lead its bridge and transportation structures practice in Eastern Ontario. This is a leadership-focused role offering the opportunity to oversee complex bridge projects, guide a growing team, and play a key role in client delivery and business growth.

This position is well suited to an experienced bridge engineer who enjoys combining technical leadership, project management, and mentorship within a collaborative consulting environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Providing technical leadership on the design and rehabilitation of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other transportation structures in accordance with CSA S6 (CHBDC)
• Leading project delivery from planning and design through tendering and construction administration
• Managing and mentoring intermediate and junior engineers and technologists
• Coordinating with clients, approving authorities, and multidisciplinary design teams
• Reviewing and overseeing the production of engineering drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and tender documents
• Supporting ongoing client relationships and contributing to business development through proposals and fee estimates
• Ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality and risk management

What they’re looking for

• P.Eng. licensed in Ontario
• 10+ years of experience in bridge and transportation structure design
• Previous experience in a leadership, supervisory, or project management role
• Strong working knowledge of CHBDC (CSA S6), Ontario Building Code, and MTO Structural Manual
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff
• Proficiency with structural analysis software and common design tools (AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project)
• Eligibility or potential for MTO RAQS registration (complex structures) is an asset
• Strong organizational, communication, and client-facing skills
