Senior Project Manager -  Land Development
Ottawa, Ontario (Full time)

A civil engineering firm in Ottawa is looking for a Senior Project Manager to oversee the production, design and analysis of projects spanning residential and industrial subdivisions, along with municipal, institutional and commercial work.

You'll work directly with clients and design staff, preparing proposals, reports, technical specifications and contracts, while coordinating with project teams and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop designs for grading, servicing plans, sanitary and stormwater management (SWM) systems and similar
• Assist in preparing contractual documents for project proposals and project completion
• Carry out quality assurance and quality control to ensure contractual obligations and regulations are met
• Investigate and prepare technical analysis relating to SWM systems, site surveys, traffic control, signage and vehicular controls
• Prepare reports relating to zoning by laws and site plan applications
• Support senior contract administration staff and senior inspectors
• Assist with office work such as as builts, drafting, and compiling reports and drawings

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Civil Engineering or a similar field
• Registered with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), or holding an OACETT C.E.T. designation
• CCCA certification from Construction Specifications Canada is an asset
• 8+ years of experience in civil engineering or a similar role
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of provincial and municipal laws, codes and regulations, along with construction and health and safety standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
• Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines
