ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) and
multi-family residential construction. They deliver projects across Canada, with a focus on quality execution, safety, and strong client relationships.
Position Overview They are seeking a
Traveling Site Superintendent with a minimum of 3+ years of experience to lead on-site construction activities across various projects nationwide. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to travel extensively, with assignments lasting up to
3 months at a time.
Key Responsibilities - Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and site personnel
- Enforce and maintain health & safety standards in accordance with Ontario and provincial regulations
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Manage daily site operations including scheduling, inspections, and progress tracking
- Lead site meetings and communicate updates with project managers and stakeholders
- Identify and resolve site issues, conflicts, and delays proactively
- Ensure proper documentation including daily reports, site logs, and deficiency tracking
- Support project closeout, including inspections and turnover documentation
Qualifications & Requirements - Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent or similar role
- Experience in ICI and/or multi-family residential construction
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and site coordination
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations across multiple provinces
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness and ability to travel across Canada and be on-site for extended periods (up to 3 months at a time)
- Valid driver's license
Nice to Have - Experience managing projects in multiple provinces
- Familiarity with tools such as Procore, MS Project, or similar platforms
- First Aid, WHMIS, Working at Heights certifications
