Our client is an industry leading provider of recycling / waste management services. Environmental ethics is the cornerstone of their operations, providing comprehensive eco-friendly utility resource solutions, including recycling and energy services.

About the role:

• Cork Based position.
• Excellent opportunity to manage EHS for a highly reputable Recycling Specialist.
• You will manage EHS on Site and lead a wider health and safety team. 
• Competitive Salary & Package circa €70,000 - €80,000 DOE

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and procedures across site operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, safety, and waste management legislation through regular audits, inspections, and reporting.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses, implementing corrective and preventive actions where required.
• Deliver EHS training and awareness programmes to employees, contractors, and site visitors to promote a strong safety culture.
• Monitor operational activities to identify potential hazards and environmental impacts, driving initiatives to improve safety performance and sustainability outcomes.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, external auditors, and internal stakeholders regarding compliance matters, permits, and environmental reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate EHS documentation, KPIs, and records, while preparing management reports and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

To be successful in your application you will ideally possess the following;

• Relevant Environmental / Health & Safety Qualification.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience dealing with EPA / Regulatory Bodies.
