Our client, an established and growing engineering consulting firm, is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng.) to join their collaborative and forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities Design & Technical Execution - Perform mechanical engineering design in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and supporting documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and drawing markups to drafting and design staff.
- Conduct site visits, surveys, and field investigations to gather project information and verify design requirements.
- Support the development of innovative and practical engineering solutions.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and external consultants to coordinate project designs.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate progress with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing proposals, project schedules, and cost estimates.
- Support project delivery while ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
Documentation & Quality Assurance
- Review engineering drawings and project documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews.
- Assist with revisions and updates to project deliverables.
- Act as Engineer of Record (EOR) when required and provide professional sealing of discipline-specific design packages.
Construction Administration
- Conduct field reviews and site inspections during construction.
- Respond to contractor requests for information and technical inquiries.
- Provide technical support throughout the construction phase to ensure project success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering design experience.
- Strong understanding of building mechanical systems and engineering design principles.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including:
- Ontario Building Code (OBC)
- National Building Code (NBC)
- ASHRAE Standards
- CAN/CSA Standards
- NFPA Standards
- Experience with Carrier HAP software is considered a strong asset.
- P.Eng. registration in Quebec and/or New Brunswick is considered an asset.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered a strong asset.

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary of $75,000 - $100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
