Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance operations, asset management and minor project delivery across a diverse portfolio of commercial and government facilities.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring assets are maintained in a safe, compliant and operational condition while delivering exceptional service to clients and stakeholders.
The Role Reporting to senior management, you will take ownership of facilities maintenance delivery, reactive and planned works programs, asset performance, contractor management and minor works projects.
You will play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships, managing budgets and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities - Manage planned, preventative and reactive maintenance programs across multiple sites
- Coordinate maintenance requests from receipt through to completion and client close-out
- Deliver minor works projects from scoping and estimating through to handover
- Maintain asset registers, compliance records and maintenance documentation
- Monitor asset performance and contribute to lifecycle planning and capital improvement initiatives
- Manage maintenance budgets, forecasts and cost reporting
- Review quotations, engage subcontractors and manage procurement activities
- Coordinate site access, shutdowns, permits and service delivery requirements
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with safety, quality and contractual standards
- Provide leadership, technical support and guidance to supervisors, trades and subcontractors
- Ensure all personnel hold appropriate licences, qualifications and competencies
- Monitor maintenance KPIs, service levels, costs and client outcomes
- Prepare reports and provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsive service delivery
About You - Experience in Facilities Management, Building Services, Asset Management or Maintenance Operations
- Proven ability to manage maintenance contracts, service delivery and minor works projects
- Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management and compliance requirements
- Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and multi-disciplinary trades
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and forecasting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, statutory requirements and industry standards
- Ability to lead teams and drive high levels of client satisfaction
