About the Client
Our client is an established building services and facilities specialist delivering planned, reactive and project-based solutions. The business supports commercial property, public-sector estates, refurbishment and building-services programmes, with a clear focus on safe delivery, technical quality and long-term client relationships.

Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking a Operations Manager to join their team in Billericay. The successful candidate will lead operational performance across projects and service delivery, strengthening resource planning, customer satisfaction, governance and sustainable business growth.

This position will work closely with project leadership, commercial, design, planning and supply-chain stakeholders, providing clear ownership of the role's key deliverables and helping the wider team achieve programme, quality, safety and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead day-to-day operational performance across projects, contracts and service teams.
• Plan resources, workload, mobilisation and delivery priorities in line with business objectives.
• Monitor safety, quality, programme, customer service and financial performance.
• Support project managers with problem-solving, escalation and recovery planning.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat work.
• Improve operational procedures, reporting, productivity and consistency.
• Manage and develop operational staff, setting clear objectives and performance expectations.
• Work closely with commercial and estimating teams on budgets, risk, pipeline and handover.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements and contractual obligations.

Candidate Profile
• Proven operational leadership within building services, construction, engineering or facilities delivery.
• Strong people, client, commercial and performance-management skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities, projects and operational risks.
• Practical, accountable and focused on service quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements & Experience
• Strong IT, reporting and stakeholder-coordination skills.
• Able to work independently, prioritise effectively and maintain reliable processes.
• Ability to travel to and work from the Billericay location as required.
