About the Company A leading carpentry and joinery specialist delivering bespoke packages across commercial, residential, and high-end/super-prime projects in London, with strong tier-1 main contractor relationships and a reputation for detail-led, quality-driven delivery.
Role Overview We're looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of joinery and carpentry packages from handover through to completion. You'll manage programme, quality, and site teams day-to-day, acting as the main point of contact for main contractors and coordinating closely with design, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities - Manage the full project lifecycle from pre-start through to practical completion and snagging
- Own the project programme, tracking progress and driving corrective action where required
- Manage site supervisors, fitters, and labour-only subcontractors, ensuring quality and productivity targets are met
- Act as primary point of contact with the main contractor's site/project management team
- Coordinate with the design team on RFIs, technical queries, and drawing approvals
- Liaise with the commercial team on variations, procurement timelines, and material call-offs
- Manage material and labour logistics, including sequencing bespoke joinery installation around other trades
- Ensure work is delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Oversee health & safety compliance on site, including RAMS and inductions
- Manage client/architect expectations on high-end and bespoke elements
Requirements - Proven experience as a PM within a carpentry, joinery, or interior fit-out subcontractor (bespoke/high-end joinery experience highly desirable)
- Strong programme management skills, comfortable working to tight main contractor deadlines
- Good technical understanding of joinery detailing and installation sequencing
- Experience managing multi-trade coordination on live sites
- SMSTS and CSCS (black/gold card) required; First Aid desirable
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with main contractors and design teams
- Degree/HNC in Construction Management or equivalent site experience
