SSA is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a well-established Civil Engineering Contractor for a permanent position based in Portlaoise.
About the role:
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will join a growing commercial team delivering a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects throughout the Midlands. The role will be primarily based from the Portlaoise office with regular travel to project sites, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of office and site-based work.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Commercial management of multiple civil engineering projects
- Preparing and managing project budgets and cost reports
- Subcontractor procurement and account management
- Preparing valuations, variations and final accounts
- Monitoring project costs and forecasting
- Liaising with clients, site teams and subcontractors
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Supporting the successful commercial delivery of projects from inception through to completion

- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge

- Ability to travel regularly to sites across the Midlands
- Full, clean driving licence is essential
- Valid working rights within Ireland
