Location: London (office/site hybrid)

About the Company
An established drylining subcontractor delivering partitions, ceilings, and SFS packages on commercial and residential projects across London, with strong tier-1 main contractor relationships and a healthy forward pipeline.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial delivery of drylining packages from procurement through to final account. You'll work closely with site management, design, and the wider commercial team to ensure packages are delivered on budget and risk is properly managed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the commercial cycle: subcontract/supply chain procurement, valuations, cost reporting, and final accounts
  • Prepare and submit applications for payment and negotiate agreed valuations with main contractors
  • Produce monthly CVRs and report project performance to the commercial manager/director
  • Take off quantities and price variations/change control as they arise
  • Manage labour-only and supply-and-fix subcontractor accounts
  • Assess contractual entitlement under JCT/NEC forms and advise on notices/claims
  • Liaise with site managers to track progress against programme and resolve commercial queries
  • Support estimating with historical cost data and benchmarking where required
  • Maintain accurate records for variations, instructions, and correspondence
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a QS within a drylining, partitions, or interior fit-out subcontractor
  • Strong knowledge of SFS, GRG, and drylining systems and how they're measured/priced
  • Working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contract forms
  • Experience managing subcontract accounts and final accounts
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with cost management software (e.g. COINS, CMAP) desirable
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience (RICS/MRICS desirable but not essential)
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
