About the Client
Our client is an established electrical engineering contractor delivering installation, upgrade and maintenance projects for major clients. The business supports commercial, industrial, infrastructure, public-sector and mission-critical environments, with a clear focus on safe delivery, technical quality and long-term client relationships.
The successful candidate will support and improve health, safety, environmental and quality performance through visible site engagement, assurance, coaching and robust compliance management.
This position will work closely with project leadership, commercial, design, planning and supply-chain stakeholders, providing clear ownership of the role's key deliverables and helping the wider team achieve programme, quality, safety and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide practical HSEQ guidance and support to project and operational teams.
• Complete site inspections, audits and assurance activities, tracking actions through to close-out.
• Review RAMS, permits, lifting plans, environmental controls and project HSEQ documentation.
• Support incident reporting, investigation, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Deliver inductions, briefings, campaigns and coaching to strengthen positive safety behaviours.
• Monitor compliance with legislation, client standards and company management systems.
• Analyse performance data and prepare clear reports for project and senior leadership.
• Engage with clients, subcontractors and workforce representatives to drive continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
• Relevant HSEQ experience within construction, engineering, M&E or infrastructure environments.
• Good knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, management systems and practical site controls.
• Recognised safety qualification such as NEBOSH or equivalent is preferred.
• Confident communicator who can influence behaviour at workforce and management level.
Requirements & Experience
• Strong auditing, reporting and corrective-action management capability.
• Ability to travel to project locations and maintain a visible site presence.
• Ability to travel to and work from the London location as required.
