Water and Wastewater Project Manager

A multidisciplinary engineering firm with deep roots in Ontario's water sector is adding a Project Manager to their team in Ottawa.

You'll lead full lifecycle water and wastewater projects, from early planning through detailed design and construction, working closely with clients and a collaborative design team.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams through analysis, planning, preliminary and detailed design, and construction management for:
  • Inground reservoirs and elevated storage tanks
  • Water and wastewater pumping stations
  • New water transmission and distribution mains, and renewal of existing mains
  • New wastewater mains and renewal of existing sewage collection systems
• Manage project resources, schedule, budget, quality and risk on behalf of the firm and its clients
• Carry out engineering and asset management studies, along with Class Environmental Assessments for water and wastewater infrastructure
• Prepare design reports, coordinate drawings, contract specifications, tender documents, cost estimates and approval applications
• Mentor and support junior staff
• Liaise with clients, sub consultants, approval authorities, stakeholders and contractors
• Oversee construction contract administration and inspection services
• Lead proposal preparation for upcoming projects

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed in Ontario, with 10+ years of relevant design and management experience
• Strong communicator across engineering teams, clients, stakeholders and approval authorities
• Comfortable managing and delivering projects independently
• Hands on experience across planning, preliminary design, detailed design and construction administration for water/wastewater infrastructure
• Track record securing approvals from regulatory and environmental agencies
• Confident with cost estimating, specification writing, Word, Excel and MS Project
• Able to juggle multiple projects and priorities at once

Compensation

Up to $155,000 per year.
