Contract Administrator / Quantity Surveyor

SSA Group is partnering with a well-established mechanical services contractor to recruit a motivated Contract Administrator / Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Sydney team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–3 years of experience looking to build their career within the HVAC and mechanical services industry. You'll work alongside experienced project teams, gaining exposure to a diverse range of commercial projects while taking ownership of the commercial and contractual aspects of project delivery.

The Role Reporting to the Commercial Manager and Project Managers, you will be responsible for supporting the successful financial and contractual management of multiple projects from commencement through to completion.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing, reviewing and administering subcontract agreements
  • Managing procurement processes and subcontractor packages
  • Assessing and processing subcontractor claims and progress payments
  • Preparing client progress claims, variations and final accounts
  • Cost tracking, forecasting and budget reporting
  • Assisting with contract administration and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
  • Liaising with project managers, suppliers and subcontractors to support project delivery
  • Identifying commercial risks and assisting with mitigation strategies
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation and records
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • 2–3 years' experience in a Contract Administration or Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry
  • Experience working on commercial construction or mechanical services projects is highly regarded
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
  • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a project team
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Full working rights in Australia
