Projects Director – Electrical
Brisbane | Tier 1 Commercial & Healthcare | Senior Leadership Role

We are currently recruiting for a Projects Director to join a highly regarded electrical contractor delivering major Tier 1 commercial and healthcare projects across Queensland.
This is a senior leadership appointment for an experienced electrical construction professional with a proven track record delivering high-value projects in the $60M–$70M+ range and leading teams of Project Managers.

The Role
As Projects Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a significant portfolio of electrical projects, while managing, mentoring and developing a team of Project Managers.
You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and to a high standard, while maintaining strong relationships with Tier 1 builders, clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and oversee major electrical projects across Queensland.
• Manage, mentor and develop a team of Project Managers.
• Provide oversight of project delivery, commercial performance, programme, quality and safety.
• Support Project Managers with complex technical, contractual and commercial matters.
• Maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 builders, clients and consultants.
• Drive project governance, risk management and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with senior leadership on project strategy and business performance.
• Support pre-construction, project mobilisation and successful project handover.

Healthcare Experience – Essential Significant experience delivering complex healthcare and hospital projects is essential.
You will have strong working knowledge and practical experience with the key standards and requirements applicable to healthcare electrical projects, including:

• AS/NZS 3000
• AS/NZS 3003
• AS/NZS 3013
• AS/NZS 2982
• AS/NZS ISO 14644
• Queensland Health Capital Infrastructure Requirements (CIR)
• Queensland Development Code MP 5.5
• NCC
• Queensland Electrical Safety Act & Regulations

Experience delivering projects for Queensland Health will be highly regarded.
About You You will ideally have:

• Extensive experience within the electrical construction industry.
• A proven track record delivering $60M–$70M+ electrical projects in Queensland.
• Significant healthcare/hospital project experience.
• Previous experience managing multiple Project Managers and project delivery teams.
• Strong commercial and contractual capability.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• The credibility to operate at senior level with Tier 1 builders, clients and consultants.
• Relevant electrical, engineering, construction or project management qualifications are advantageous.
