Mechanical Construction Site Manager | Limerick

SSA are working with a Market-Leading M&E Contractor seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join their team in Limerick 

This company is currently working on major healthcare project in Limerick and are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to oversee this projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all mechanical construction activities on site from installation through to completion.
  • Supervise mechanical subcontractors, trades and site teams, ensuring works are completed efficiently and to specification.
  • Coordinate daily site activities with the Project Manager, engineers, subcontractors and other disciplines.
  • Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation and ensure works are installed accordingly.
  • Monitor progress against the project programme and assist with planning and sequencing of mechanical works.
  • Ensure all mechanical installations meet the required quality, safety and project standards.
  • Coordinate with electrical, architectural, structural and other services to ensure effective M&E integration.
  • Manage material deliveries, site logistics and mechanical procurement requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure any issues, clashes or defects are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Ensure all relevant RAMS, permits, inspections and quality documentation are in place.
  • Support commissioning, testing, snagging and handover of mechanical systems.
  • Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety procedures and all relevant legislation.
Requirements: 
  • Relevant Mechanical Engineering / Building Services qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager, Construction Manager, Mechanical Supervisor or similar.
  • Strong experience delivering mechanical installations on large-scale construction projects.
  • Previous healthcare, pharmaceutical, commercial or other complex M&E project experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services, including HVAC, pipework, plant and associated systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing, site coordination and quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and mechanical trades effectively.
  • Strong Health & Safety awareness.
