Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all mechanical construction activities on site from installation through to completion.
- Supervise mechanical subcontractors, trades and site teams, ensuring works are completed efficiently and to specification.
- Coordinate daily site activities with the Project Manager, engineers, subcontractors and other disciplines.
- Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation and ensure works are installed accordingly.
- Monitor progress against the project programme and assist with planning and sequencing of mechanical works.
- Ensure all mechanical installations meet the required quality, safety and project standards.
- Coordinate with electrical, architectural, structural and other services to ensure effective M&E integration.
- Manage material deliveries, site logistics and mechanical procurement requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure any issues, clashes or defects are identified and resolved promptly.
- Ensure all relevant RAMS, permits, inspections and quality documentation are in place.
- Support commissioning, testing, snagging and handover of mechanical systems.
- Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
- Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety procedures and all relevant legislation.
- Relevant Mechanical Engineering / Building Services qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager, Construction Manager, Mechanical Supervisor or similar.
- Strong experience delivering mechanical installations on large-scale construction projects.
- Previous healthcare, pharmaceutical, commercial or other complex M&E project experience would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of mechanical building services, including HVAC, pipework, plant and associated systems.
- Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing, site coordination and quality control.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and mechanical trades effectively.
- Strong Health & Safety awareness.
