SSA are currently working with a Tier 1 M&E Contractor seeking an experience Mechanical Engineer for their pharma project in Cork.
About the company:
My client is a Tier 1 M&E Contractor seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer based in Cork a state of the art Pharmaceutical facility. They have a vast array of ongoing and completed projects throughout the island of Ireland. The successful candidate will be integrated into a wider Mechanical Project team.
About the role:
- Cork Based position
- Become part of a highly reputable M&E Contractor
- Gain experience working on a state of the art Pharmaceutical project

Job description:
- Report to the Project Manager on project progress, risks and issues.
- Liaise with the suppliers/specialist contractor to ensure equipment is successfully commissioned.
- Ability to develop and review mechanical design with project team.
- Design reviews, validate equipment and systems.
- Complete technical submittals, equipment registers and trackers.
- Review Quality on site walking down systems to ensure compliance with project team.
Successful candidate requirements:
- 4 – 6 years’ experience in a mechanical engineering role
- Experience reading and interpreting piping isometrics and P&IDs
- Experience in a construction or industrial project environment
- Experience in Revit would be advantageous.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
