You've spent years delivering transportation projects... now it's time to lead them your way. You know what it takes to deliver successful infrastructure projects. Balancing clients, municipalities, contractors, budgets, schedules, and technical teams has become second nature.
The question is...
Are you somewhere that genuinely gives you the opportunity to make an impact?
If you're looking for more ownership, greater variety, and the chance to help shape a growing transportation team, keep reading.
The Opportunity I'm working with a respected consulting engineering firm that's continuing to grow its Transportation Services group in Ottawa.
They're looking for an experienced Project Manager who enjoys taking projects from the earliest planning stages right through detailed design, construction support, and successful delivery.
This isn't a role where you'll simply manage a schedule. You'll become a trusted advisor to clients, lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor developing engineers, and play an important role in the continued growth of the business.
The Projects:
- Municipal road reconstruction and rehabilitation
- Complete Streets initiatives
- Active Transportation infrastructure
- Roundabouts and intersection improvements
- Road widening and corridor upgrades
- Municipal transportation infrastructure throughout Ontario
Every project is different, offering the chance to work across the full project lifecycle rather than being confined to one phase.
You'll Probably Enjoy This Role If You...
- Like building long-term client relationships.
- Enjoy leading multidisciplinary project teams.
- Take pride in mentoring junior engineers.
- Want greater ownership over projects and decision-making.
- Prefer working somewhere where your experience genuinely influences the direction of the team.
You'll Bring:
- P.Eng. designation (PEO)
- 8+ years of transportation engineering and project management experience
- A strong background delivering municipal transportation infrastructure projects
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, and client expectations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Why Engineers Make the Move This role offers more than another project management title. It's an opportunity to work with a collaborative team that values technical excellence, trusted client relationships, and giving experienced professionals the autonomy to lead.
Alongside that, you'll receive:
- Highly competitive compensation
- RRSP matching
- Comprehensive health and dental benefits
- Hybrid working
- Ongoing professional development
- Clear opportunities to progress into senior leadership
