Responsibilities:
- Integrated Management System – proactively manage, coordinate and maintain the contractors Integrated Management System (IMS) with Process Owners and document authors. Support the development and implementation of quality plans, inspection and test plans and quality control methods. Undertake quality audits.
- Quality Performance – identify and manage project quality risks in a graded approach, working with stakeholders. Work with the Project Director to ensure adherence with the project and programme quality management strategy and approach. Facilitate improvement in quality standards. Maintain appropriate quality management governance and assist in administering the Quality Management Steering Group.
- Routinely take the lead in preparing ITPs and other QA/QC documents.
- Ensuring QA deliverables, specified as part of the Client reporting requirements, are prepared and presented.
- Ensuring that off-site materials inspections are being carried out in accordance with the specification – particular focus on steelwork and painting inspections. Liaison with inspection companies/specialists as required.
- Liaison and coordination with designers and supply chain to ensure the development of the Commissioning and Handover process, with collation of the associated quality documentation.
- Digital Construction – understand BIM models and advise on capturing quality management data for reporting. Appreciate the importance and management of data quality. Provide support at workshops to advise on new technology initiatives.
- Quality Culture – assist the Divisional Business Excellence Manager in designing and developing quality management initiatives, policies and processes and controls. Develop Quality Alerts on best practices, audit non-conformances and lessons learnt.
- People management – build strong relationships across the JV and supply chain to achieve compliance. Represent the JV on various external forums. Undertake project site audits, inspect quality compliance and provide encouragement and advice.
- Provide coaching, training and support as required.
- Attend project and programme meetings as required.
