About the role: Galliard Homes is committed to reducing our environmental impact and we are on our journey to becoming a net zero company. The newly established Sustainability team has already achieved ISO14001 accreditation, which provides a framework for setting targets and analysing environmental performance.
About the Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development of the company’s sustainability strategy.
- Ensure the company’s sustainability policy and programme is kept up to date.
- Manage the company’s ongoing ISO14001, ensuring compliance with the standard, and focusing on the requirement for continual improvement.
- Assist in developing processes for the verification and reporting of scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions.
- Assist with providing annual updates on progress towards targets for the annual company report and company CSR report.
About the requirements:
The ideal candidate will be someone who is self-motivated and has a passion for Sustainability. They will ideally have 2 years of relevant work experience in a comparable role within a Property Developer, Construction business, or similar.
- Excellent data collection and analytical skills.
- A passion for creating a sustainable future.
- Confident, articulate, and resilient in approach, with the ability to apply sustainability principles in a commercially focused manner.
- PC literate and competent with usual MS applications.
Experience of operating Environmental Management Systems and Degree level qualification in Sustainability or related subject but not essential.
