WORKING SITE SUPERVISOR – COMMERCIAL GLAZING – UK WIDE/SOUTH CENTRAL BASED

About the client: My client is a specialist Architectural Commercial Glazing sub-contractor based in the South Central of the UK and operating nationwide. 
  
About the role & duties:

  • Report to Divisional Director on progress of all projects you are working on throughout the UK
  • Attend Team Handover meetings held by Divisional Director and take notes of the site/project requirements and informing the Project Coordinators of any specific requirements.
  • Installing and maintaining new glazing and silicone weatherseals
  • Leading teams of installers
  • Undertake full responsibility for the health and safety on all projects and ensuring all relevant paperwork/toolbox talks are completed
  • Responsible for ensuring the successful completion of all glazing maintenance projects all over the UK
  • Discuss with the Project coordinators the planned delivery of materials, plant and installation teams to complete the works
  • Upon completion of the project ensure that the Client has signed off their approval of all the works undertaken
  • Undertake certain works condition surveys to establish condition of glass and system and assist in the preparation of the survey reports.
  • Maintaining material stock levels in advance of the projects progressing on site 
  • Undertake all necessary training as required by the Company
  • Any ad hoc actions to support Maintenance works as directed by the Divisional Director 

About the Requirement: 

  • ESSENTIAL – Good knowledge of Glazing and Glazing systems for eg – Schuco Curtain wall systems, Pilkington, Planar systems
  • Good experience of installing glazing at high level (atriums roofs etc)
  • ESSENTIAL – Good experience working within the Commercial Glazing Sector (commercial buildings)
  • Aware of the requirement of maintenance projects where you are working on numerous small projects at the same time
  • Hold relevant CSCS, IPAF & PASMA
  • Also hold valid SMSTS or SSSTS or be prepared to attend course to obtain qualification
  • Have good attention to detail.
  • Prepared to travel to projects all over Mainland UK (staying away from home when required – averaging 60% of the time)
  • Able to be flexible in working hours as some works will need to be undertaken at night or at weekends. – overtime paid as applicable
  • Confident and flexible approach essential

  • Be forward thinking individual who can ‘think on their feet’

About the offer: 

  • Negotiable Salary depending on experience
  • Working Hours – Monday to Friday 07:00 hrs to 17:30 hrs (If night shifts 21:00 to 06:00 hrs) Overtime paid for weekend and evening working
