Job Description

My client is a leading Tier 1 Irish M&E Contractor that is currently looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Central Engineering Design division working on exciting data centre projects in Ireland & Europe. The role is an 5 days office based role till probation then the role will become hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.

Duties include (but not limited to):

• Lead and coordinate Electrical design teams, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and site teams.
• Develop project scopes, design deliverables, responsibility matrices and design delivery schedules.
• Manage design packages, approvals, procurement requirements and construction interfaces.
• Ensure Electrical designs comply with project, client and country-specific standards.
• Review designs for accuracy, constructability, value engineering and off-site manufacturing opportunities.
• Identify and manage design risks, changes, RFIs, interfaces and scope gaps throughout the project.
• Maintain project documentation, registers, reports and handover packs while supporting sustainability and continuous improvement.

Requirements: 

• Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in the Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or Data Centre sectors.
• Demonstration of design, technical and construction knowledge is essential for this role.
• Experience in leading meetings and coordinating the other team members.
• Strong working knowledge of design and analysis software such as BIM, Revit.
• Clean driving licence essential
